About

“Spadaro’s fine playing is nearly matched by his composing, and his love for improvisation and going out on a limb is enviable.” – David Malachowski, Times Union

“Spadaro is an unselfish bandleader who leaves plenty of room for his cohorts to take the spotlight…” – Mike Hotter, Metroland

Dave Spadaro has been a staple guitarist in New York’s Capital District music scene for years having performed with groups Ruhle Road, Good Foot, The Mighty Nautilus, PJ Katz & Fat Buckle, and currently The Stone Revival Band and Thump Gospel.  Fusing rock, jazz, blues and funk stylings, Spadaro’s sound is influenced by Jimmy Herring, Grant Green, John Scofield and the legendary guitar roster of Steely Dan.

Live, the Dave Spadaro Group has a penchant for improvisation and musical exploration. The debut self-titled album by The Dave Spadaro Group was recorded June 2014 at Albany Audio Studios, engineered by John Chiara. Edited by Dave Spadaro at his home studio and brought it to Scott Apicelli at Blue Sky Music Studios in Delmar to mix and master in December 2014. The album has been well received, obtaining regular radio play on WEQX 102.7FM, WEXT 97.7FM and WVCR 88.3FM.
